The Mass Path
This walk follows paths, minor roads and open mountain as it crosses over the ridge from one side of the Sheep’s Head Peninsula to the other rising to a height of just over 200m and giving spectacular views of both Bantry Bay and Dunmanus Bay, with the Beara and Mizen Head peninsulas beyond.

Directions: From the car park at Arundel’s follow the black Christian cross signs and arrows for the mass path, walking west towards Kilcrohane, turning right after 150m for Ahakista Church, and immediately left (signed for Glanlough). Follow the trail uphill and at the Mass Path Junction continue straight on and descend to Dún Óir (Doonore) car park.
