Bantry to Drimoleague (East)
The Sheep’s Head Way (East) starts in Bantry town, and is 20 km in length and follows quiet countryside roads to Drimoleague.
This section passes by a viewing point above Seskin with fantastic views of Bantry and down Bantry Bay, before passing Captain O’Neill’s monument, and Trawlebane crossroads.

Bantry to Drimoleague Description
From the map board in Bantry, cross the road (N71) and follow the Sheep's Head Way signs along the narrow road at the back of Bantry. You take a right and then a left, leading you up past the Hospital. From here you continue passing Seskin with wonderful views overlooking Bantry and down Bantry Bay. You then follow quiet country roads until Captain O'Neill's monument and on to Trawlebane crossroads. From Trawlebane crossroads you can take short detour to visit Lough Bofinne, a popular local wildlife and fishing spot. The trail continues on quiet countryside roads to Drimoleague village.
