Srón na Gaoithe Loop Directions & Map

Directions: From the car park, cross the river and turn left passing Carriganass Castle, then following the road left past the picnic area. After 0.5 km cross the bridge over the Owenbeg River. Take the right hand road rising uphill. When the road goes downhill, you will find a stile on the left. This track leads upwards into the Knockbreteen and Shronagreehy (Srón na Gaoithe) hills. At the top of these hills, go right through the forestry to join the road and Beara Breifne Way. Go left along this road, passing by Maughanasilly Stone Row (Macha na Sailí) and then left at the cross roads past Lough Tooreen, and back to the Carriganass Castle.
