Drimoleague Heritage Trail Directions & Map

Directions: Leaving the Drimoleague Railway Yard and Drimoleague's multi-coloured streetscape, this energetic walk takes you to panoramic views from the Top of the Rock. It then follows a beautiful pathway along the river Ilen, with woodlands, stepping stones, river pools, dippers and kingfishers. Linger at the memorial seats along the way and savour the life of days gone by, on this fascinating heritage walk. This walk passes a number of historical sites: Drimoleague Railway Yard, Drimoleague Methodist Church, All Saints Roman Catholic Church (Drimoleague), Top of the Rock pod park, Ahanafunsion Bridge and Moyny Bridge.
