This small rectangular well is surrounded by stone markers. Its name, “Tobar na nDuanairidhe”, means “Well of the Poets” and must refer to a connection with the Bardic School nearby in Farranamanagh. It lies in a small valley, surrounded by bog and grasses, with views out to sea. The water is fresh, clear and cold. Located in the townland of Dromnea just off the old road between Ahakista and Kilcrohane where the Farranmanagh loop walk and the Sheeps Head Way route to Ahakista intersect.
