Bob and Mary Walsh were were active in the local community, working on the Sheep's Head Way as well as organsing a very popular traditional Irish music festival in Kilcrohane, originally called 'Craic on the Coast' and now called 'Ceol on the Coast'. They were avid gardeners with Bob and Mary Walsh’s Cois Cuain Garden at Farranamanagh featured not only on “Garden Heaven” on RTE Television, but also on BBC Television, as well as on the pages of numerous gardening magazines.
